Why Online Counselling?

Do you feel anxious about making a booking for counselling?

Are you worried about sitting in a waiting room before a session, and maybe bumping into someone whilst you are feeling vulnerable?

Are you time poor, and feel you can't manage counselling while dealing with the everyday things you need to do?

If you answered YES to any of these then online counselling may suit you.

We use EVIDENCE BASED therapy.  We take a practical based approach to understand you and where you are at, we help identify negative and unhelpful thoughts and help you identify what is important in your life and help you to take action in leading a meaningful and fulfilling life.

About

Esther

Hi. My name is Esther and I provide an online counselling service.

My aim is to allow you to be the best version of yourself that you can be. I have a person-centred approach that will focus on your strengths, your abilities and your skills.  I will deliver this with deep empathy, active-listening and a fundamental desire to understand where you are at this time.

I am driven to understand where you are coming from, my goal is to see the relief in you and know that you feel validated, that you feel that someone understands. While my approach to counselling is a humanistic person-centred method, I may use elements from other counselling techniques that we can discuss as they arise in a session.

Prior to being a counsellor, I worked in pathology as a hospital scientist.  However my desire to help and connect with people grew ever stronger, until the day came when I had the opportunity to change my career. With life experience, training as a counsellor and working in the industry, my passion to be here with you, to show compassion, understanding, non-judgement, respect and to lend an empathic ear has grown. I have worked in a voluntary and paid capacity with Lifeline, volunteered with National Association of Loss and Grief (NALAG), volunteered with Griefline, worked for 1800 Respect, worked as a face to face counsellor during my time with Calvary Bereavement Service and I work with Standby as support worker.

You are the expert on your life, I am here to support and help you discover the answers within you. I don’t give advice, but I will always be there to listen, support and encourage you on the journey of life.
